Erev Shabbat Kodesh
Parashat Lekh Lekha
...Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, wrote that “we are receiving very disturbing reports of extreme violence against Israelis and Jews on the streets of Holland. There is a pogrom currently taking place in Europe in 2024.” (Source) [Video report]
As of 11 am in Israel THIS IS STILL A BREAKING STORY. Clear and irrefutable evidence has been exhibited to prove this was not a spontaneous event but a planned attack.
Added @ 13:53 - The Dutch people celebrating the pogrom.
Update @ 14:00 - 2,751 Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are in Amsterdam.
Update @ 15:47 - All missing Israelis accounted for at this time.

"And Hashem said to Avram: 'Lech-lecha from your land, from your birthplace and from your father's house towards the land that I will show you.'" (Bereishit 12:1)
Notice that the command to leave occurs in three stages, each one more difficult than the one before: 1) your country; 2) your city and state; 3) the house on the street where you grew up. Each step tugs a little harder on your heart as you anticipate the leave-taking, also knowing that it is good-bye forever - only looking forward into the future, never looking back to the past.
But, there is a comforting promise hidden in the first two words - lekh lekha. It can be read as go for yourself. It can be understood as go for your own good, for your ultimate good. There is no place more nourishing (Land of milk...) or sweeter for the soul (and honey); no place better suited for you to accomplish your mission in life than Eretz Yisrael. Lekh lekha - do it, says Hashem. But don't do it for Me. Do it for yourself. Even if it might not always feel like it, it's the best thing - the most important thing - you could ever do.
It's your privilege and your destiny!!

ReplyDeleteH' is surely sending us one sign after the other.
ReplyDeleteHE is showing us no matter where in the world, they just hate us.
The hatred. of course, is a unique hatred that no other people
share. Yet, so few learn anything from this. I believe this is an
unrational stupidity on the part of most of the secular Jewish world.
Was listening just about 1/2 hr. ago to a radio call-in program
(conservative) which is very good and broadcasts throughtout the
U.S. A lady called in about the above pogrom and was very nice
but a religious goya and said something that made me blink twice.
She said we have to be united in prayer and do right in
G-D's eyes because 'He took away His blessings from them' because of our sins and apparently she thinks they now have the blessings and this just proves how they have shrewdly and with 'love' thinking they
are replacing us, c'v.
What the memshala of Israel is doing with this love affair and allowing missionizing and purchasing of property and land in OUR holy Eretz Yisrael by non-Jews is beyond evil and is directly against Torah Laws and a chet which we should find unforgivable.
Now, I think the Jews MUST wake up and realize what is happening
right under their noses.
The soneh from within causes more tzoros than any external one.
This is so disturbing and we see as crystal clear what is happening now in Europe and is really a repeat of 85 years ago.

ReplyDeleteIf it's from the river to the sea then it's a landgrab...
But now it's from the river to the sea to the other sea...up...down...
Proof it's jew centered hatred.

Apparently, and hopefully, all Israelis in Amsterdam have been accounted for. Jews have to wake up and realise that we are all one. Oh it was only against Israeli Jews, not against us locals. Only in Holland, not for us safely ensonced in x place. A Czech Jew who survived the Shoah said, we thought it was only against German etc Jews, not against US. A Jew is a Jew is a Jew. When it's against one, it's against every Jew. The exile is over. How bad, chalila, does it have to get for Jews everwhere to wake up. The authorities of your beloved countries will not be there for you. At least in Israel you have, literally, a fighting chance.

Any child can see the message: all Jews belong in EY, and must keep a kosher shabbat. There is no difference between any kind of Jew, for galut Jews rationalising the pogrom, oh, it was against Israelis not us. We have the benefit of hindsight that Jews in the Shoah did not have. The Shoah was against all Jews, not those Jews in Germany, or Poland. It just took some time till they got to the Czechs and the French and the Greeks. We have Eretz Yisrael, just a plane ride away, that they didn't have. Have no lessons been learned?
