Not so, Deb. A "decree" is a sentence handed down by the Court in Shamayim. When a "decree" is enacted, it affects the righteous along with the wicked without discrimination. Whereas we see that during the first redemption in Egypt, the plagues only affected the Mitzrim and not the Ivrim.
And that's why this is NOT a "decree". This is redemption.
(Malachi 3.19,20) - "For lo, the sun comes, glowing like a furnace, and all the audacious sinners and all the perpetrators of wickedness will be stubble. And the sun that comes shall burn them up so that it will leave them neither root nor branch, says the Lord of Hosts. And the sun of mercy shall rise with healing in its wings for you who fear My Name."
I love the prophecies about everyone being healed. As we will all be completely healthy and joyous after Moshiach’s revelation! May I ask what made you quote these verses on this blog article? (Keep up the great work and the strong ray of light and hope on the internet!)
Because it backs up my assertion that HKB"H is distinguishing between the righteous and the wicked. The wicked will be removed and the righteous will remain. The prophet describes that only good will come for "those who fear [HKB"H]."
Of course, it is a decree of Hashem! Everything is!
