TRUMP: Israel to pay 'higher price' in peace talks with Palestinians

If Israel must pay a high price for Trump's "recognition of a reality that currently exists" - namely that Jerusalem is Israel's capital - what will Israel be expected to pay for further expressions of Trump largesse, like declaring Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights - another mere recognition of a reality that currently exists - or a commutation of Jonathan Pollard's draconian life sentence which was anyway an egregious miscarriage of justice that cried out for rectification?  (Dennis Ross's admission that Pollard was a "card to be played" in peace negotiations is proof that he had essentially been held hostage to an evil agenda for most of his incarceration - not for his own sins, but for ours!)

The Jerusalem Post reported Purim day on the right-wing reaction to the Golan announcement:
...some on the Right were ... cautious in their enthusiasm.

The head of the New Right Party, Naftali Bennett, said on Twitter, “The land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel. And Israel has no greater friend than the USA.”

But the party released a statement that “with all the joy over American recognition of the Golan Heights, it is necessary to say that the ‘Golan for Hamastan’ deal is a danger to settlements and Israel. We call on the prime minister to announce tonight that his agreement to establish a Palestinian state in his Bar-Ilan Speech is canceled.”

The Union of Right-Wing Parties (URP) praised the announcement, but said that it “cannot blind us ahead of Trump’s ‘deal of the century’” between Israel and the Palestinians, expressing concern that it will include “giving up territory in our homeland and…uprooting towns and thousands of families from their homes.”

Zehut leader Moshe Feiglin praised the recognition, as well as rumors that the Trump administration may allow Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard to move to Israel.

“We hope that these praiseworthy moves will not be a way to sweeten the bitter pill of the American ‘deal of the century’ to divide Jerusalem and lose our sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, immediately after the elections,” Feiglin added.
There is ample reason to be concerned if a March 2, 2019 report in the Hebrew Kol HaZeman is to be believed. In rough translation...
The son-in-law of the US president revealed this week the main points of the peace plan the president is planning for Israel and the Palestinians.
Aryeh Levin and Uriel Zeitlin, 25 Adar 5779 - 03/02/2019

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Trump, revealed this week during an interview with the Arabic Ski News Network, more details about Donald Trump's "peace plan" to promote a solution to the Middle East conflict. "The political aspect of the peace plan is very detailed and focuses on resolving the issues of a permanent settlement," Kushner said, adding that "the political aspect of the peace plan is very detailed, "We held many consultations with Israelis, Palestinians and Arab leaders. We want to see the Gaza Strip and the West Bank united under one leadership."

...In the wake of the elections, the Americans will push the Netanyahu-Lapid-Ganz government to allow the establishment of a Palestinian state on Route 6 and the division of Jerusalem, ....

Are they saying what I think they are saying? Is it already a given that Netanyahu will retain his seat and will form a kind of national consensus coalition with Gantz/Lapid's Blue and White party for the purpose of carrying out the "Deal of the Century?"

Are they saying that Route 6 will become the border between Israel and Palestine? God forbid! And that this is the price tag Israel must gladly and willingly pay for all that Trump has "done for us"???  Heaven help us if we don't express the appropriate praise and thanks!!!

The mixed reports in the media on Purim that there is some evidence of preparation being made for Jonathan Pollard's aliyah to Eretz Yisrael may signal an auspicious moment of favor from on High.  Please be in constant prayer over the course of PM Netanyahu's Washington trip and meetings with President Trump for this favor to be manifested in our reality.

Quoting Esther Pollard from a 2003 news article: "Our Rav [Rav Mordechai Eliyahu, ztz"l] told us that praying for Jonathan's redemption and praying for the redemption of Klal Yisrael are really one and the same."

May we merit to hear only besorot tovot in the upcoming days as we begin the approach to Pesach.  Shavua tov!
