"A Different World"
25 Tishrei 5774
On Elul 13 (Aug 18th), Moishe'la said: "...I would even predict that by the time Succos is over, by the time they put back the Torahs after dancing on Simchas Torah and say Havdolah it will be a different world."
On August 21st, an alleged sarin gas attack in Syria caused the world to erupt. Russia and the US squared off, China joined in, warships were converging in the Mediterranean Sea. Iran was as belligerent as ever. By the second week of September, President Obama looked poised to launch a retaliatory military strike against Syria. The world stood on the brink of WW3. In the ensuing hours and days, Obama lost the backing of key allies and announced he would let Congress decide. Then Russian President Putin appeared to out-maneuver Obama and called for Syria to give up its WMDs, to which Assad agreed.
By the end of the Sukkot holiday, Syria was completely off the hook, President Putin looked like the 'second coming,' and Iran's Rouhani has charmed the world with his diplomatic moves towards restoring relations with Washington. In his September 24th speech to the UN General Assembly, Rouhani said:
...What has been - and continues to be - practiced against the innocent people of Palestine is nothing less than structural violence. Palestine is under occupation; the basic rights of the Palestinians are tragically violated, and they are deprived of the right of return and access to their homes, birthplace and homeland. Apartheid as a concept can hardly describe the crimes and the institutionalized aggression against the innocent Palestinian people.
On the same day, US President Obama said in his own speech to the UNGA:
...In the near term, America’s diplomatic efforts will focus on two particular issues: Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons and the Arab- Israeli conflict. While these issues are not the cause of all the region’s problems, they have been a major source of instability for far too long, and resolving them can help serve as a foundation for a broader peace."
As if Israeli refusal to commit territorial suicide is an equal threat to world stability as Iran's nuclear capability.
Obama continued. With regard to Iran, he said:
"...We are encouraged that President Rouhani received from the Iranian people a mandate to pursue a more moderate course, and given President Rouhani’s stated commitment to reach an agreement, I am directing John Kerry to pursue this effort with the Iranian government in close cooperation with the European Union, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia and China."
While with regard to Israel:
"...We are also determined the resolve a conflict that goes back even further than our differences with Iran, and that is the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. ... I believe there’s a growing recognition within Israel that the occupation of the West Bank is tearing at the democratic fabric of the Jewish state. ...the United States remains committed to the belief that the Palestinian people have a right to live with security and dignity in their own sovereign state. On the same trip, I had the opportunity to meet with young Palestinians in Ramallah, whose ambition and incredible potential are matched by the pain they feel and having no firm place in the community of nations. They are understandably cynical that real progress will ever be made, and they’re frustrated by their families enduring the daily indignity of occupation."
The day after Simchat Torah in Israel and second day Yom Tov in the Diaspora, this is what the US President had to say about Iran, which as you will recall, was just a few days prior to this, one of the two most intractable problems in the Middle East:

Parshat B'reishit 5774
23 Tishrei 5774
The Torah begins by telling us that Hashem made order in the creation by separating - light from darkness, waters above from waters below, land from sea, day from night and each living thing multiplied after its own kind. Why should the world be surprised then when Hashem separated out a nation for His own - Israel - and put it in a land of its own - the Land of Israel?
In fact, it is from this first parshah of the Torah that we get this famous Rashi:
The Torah begins with an account of the creation of the heavens and the earth. Rashi asks an important question. ...Why does the Torah begin with an account of creation?
...He explains that Hashem promised the land of Israel to Bnai Yisrael. However, the Jewish people would not occupy an empty region. They would dispossess other nations. The Torah teaches justice. How can we justify the seizure of the land of Israel from these nations?
The account of creation provides the response. The Almighty created the universe. Therefore, He has the right to apportion the earth to various nations. He also has the authority to command the dispossession of these nations.
Rashi’s answer is difficult to understand. The nations, which Bnai Yisrael would expel, were idol worshippers. They did not accept the authenticity of the Torah. Certainly, they would question the assertion that the Creator had promised the land of Israel to Jewish people. They would not agree that the Almighty – the true owner – had confiscated the land from them.
We encounter this very situation today. The nations of the world are familiar with the Torah, its account of creation, and its record of the Almighty’s promises to the Jewish people. Yet, these nations do not recognize the Jewish people’s Divine right to the land! Are we to assume that the Almighty did not fully understand the nature of his creatures? Did He think the entire world would accept the message of the Torah?
Rav Yisrael Meir Lau explains that we must carefully consider Rashi’s comments. Rashi does not say that the nations of the world will be convinced of the Torah’s argument. It seems that Rashi did not maintain that the message is addressed to these nations. Instead, the Torah is speaking to Bnai Yisrael!
According to Rashi, Hashem recognized that the morality of the Jewish people would be challenged by the nations. He also realized that Bnai Yisrael would be sensitive to this reproach. We need to know that, despite all accusations, we have a Divine right to the land of Israel. Therefore, the Torah teaches us the basis of our claim.
It is certainly no coincidence that it was during the week of Parshat B'reishit that President Barack Hussein Obama spoke to the UN General Assembly in New York on 24 September 2013 and said the following:
"...the United States remains committed to the belief that the Palestinian people have a right to live with security and dignity in their own sovereign state. [In the midst of the Land of Israel.] ...The time is now ripe for the entire international community to get behind the pursuit of peace. [A euphemism for taking the Land of Israel away from the Jews.] ...Current talks are focused on final status issues of borders and security, refugees and Jerusalem."
This is the perfect time for every Jew to read and absorb Rashi's explanation for why the Torah begins with the story of creation.

Prediction: "Catastrophe on the Way"

MK Feiglin: Catastrophe is On the Way
MK Moshe Feiglin...predicted Tuesday that a “catastrophe” is near and said that time is running out for him to take the nation's leadership.
“The goal is for me to be prime minister... Look right and left – is there another candidate? No. So I am the man. I need to be prime minister,”, he told the supporters who gathered at his Manhigut Yehudit faction's annual sukkot meeting, held at Rabbi Uri Sherky's Jerusalem home.
"The goal is to lead the Nation of Israel and quickly – we do not have time," said Feiglin.
...Summing up his speech to his supporters, he said: "I want to wish us two things. First of all, just as we have made headway on the Temple Mount until now, let us wish ourselves that on Pesach, six months from now, we will say – 'Wow! A Pesach sacrifice is being sacrificed on the Temple Mount.”
"And the second thing that I want to wish upon all of us is that with the help of G-d, next year, we will not sit in... and I am saying this completely seriously... we will sit in the sukkah of the prime minister.”
Rookie MK Feiglin is widely recognized as a brilliant intellectual with highly original thoughts on numerous issues, including a libertarian philosophy that appeals to many non-religious people. His loyal Jewish Leadership faction within Likud has done much to shape the party's list of MKs over the years.
PLAYING GAMES WITH G-D

Yesterday, large groups of people, including school children, came from all over the country, prepared to ascend to Judaism's holiest place. Then, inexplicably and without prior warning, the gates were slammed shut - by the evil regime aka the government of Israel.
Today, when everyone has gone home to prepare for tonight's festival of Shmini Atzeret, they cynically open it up again. "Come, Jews, come. It's alright now, the Arabs are still up here throwing stones at the police so there is obviously no security problem with you coming up now. The gates are open for you."
Three days ago, when the soldier was murdered in Hevron, the Prime Minister announced: "Whoever tries to uproot us from the city of our forefathers will achieve the opposite. ...We will continue to fight terrorism and hit the terrorists with one hand, and we will continue to strengthen the settlement enterprise with the other hand.”
According to a Haaretz report: "Shortly after midnight on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a text message to journalists announcing his intention to allow Jewish settlers to return to a contested house in Hebron, as a response to the fatal shooting earlier on Sunday of an Israeli soldier in the West Bank city."
Today: Govt. Clarifies: No Order to Resettle Hevron Home
The evil regime is playing a shell game with the People of Israel - giving here and taking away there. It's all an illusion. In the end nothing has changed whatsoever. But, you know what? The people are no longer fooled by this calculated deception. We are on to their game. And you know what else? HKB"H is not amused. Nobody plays games with Him.

"THE END"

Shmini Atzeret & Simchat Torah: The End
by Daniel Pinner
Dedicated to the memory of my mother Dr Hana Pinner (Hana Malka bat Yehoshua u-Miriam Machlah) z”l, who passed away in her sleep on Motza’ei Shmini Atzeret 5767 (15th October 2006).
The Torah specifies the Mussaf (the Additional Sacrifice) for each of the seven days of Sukkot followed by the Mussaf for Shmini Atzeret, which have been adopted as the Torah-reading for the appropriate days of the Festival (Numbers 29:12-38). The sacrifice consists of thirteen young bulls on the first day, twelve young bulls on the second day, eleven young bulls on the third day, and so on lessening by one bull each day until seven young bulls on the seventh day.
Accompanying these on each day are two rams, fourteen male lambs in their first year, and one male goat as a sin-offering; also three-tenths of an ephah (about 7 ½ litres/2 US gallons) of fine flour mixed with oil with each of the young bulls, two-tenths of an ephah (about 5 litres/1.3 US gallons) of fine flour mixed with oil with each of the two rams, and one-tenth of an ephah (about 2 ½ litres/two-thirds of a US gallon) of fine flour mixed with oil with each of the fourteen lambs.
The Mussaf for Shmini Atzeret changes the pattern. It consists of one bull, one ram, seven lambs in their first year, and one male goat as a sin-offering.
The Talmud (Sukkah 55b) and the Midrash (Bamidbar Rabbah 21:23 and Tanhuma, Pinchas 16) note that during the seven days of Sukkot we sacrifice a total of seventy young bulls, corresponding to the seventy nations of the world; the Torah enjoins us to sacrifice these bulls to atone for the sins of all mankind. On Shmini Atzeret, however, we sacrifice one bull, corresponding to God’s one nation, Israel.
This, say the Talmud and the Midrash, may be likened to a king who hosted a great week-long banquet and invited all the people in his kingdom to feast for all seven days. When the week-long celebration was finished, he then invited his dearest friend to remain for an intimate celebration – just the king and his one beloved friend, to feast on the leftovers – a litra [a Talmudic measure, based on the Roman libra, about 330 grams/12 ounces] of meat, a litra of fish, or vegetables.
The Haftarah for the first day of Sukkot is one of Zechariah’s more frightening prophecies of messianic events (Zechariah 14). The prophet depicts all nations of the world conjoining in a huge war-coalition against Israel, attacking Jerusalem, pillaging the houses and violating the women. He continues by prophesying that “Judah, too will fight against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 14:14), meaning that Jews living in Israel will collaborate with the enemy nations against Jerusalem (Ibn Ezra, Radak).
This scenario – the entire world waging war against Israel, and some Jews collaborating with them against Israel – must have seemed utterly impossible…until a generation or two ago. Today, Zechariah’s messianic scenario looks only too realistic.
Just to make it even more likely, Rashi and Metzudat David understand that the enemy will force those Jewish collaborators to betray their nation – the “he-didn’t-want-to-do-it-he-was-under-intolerable-pressure-from-the-USA” excuse which has become standard in recent decades.
The prophet then describes the aftermath of that war: “It will be that every one who remains from all the nations who come against Jerusalem – they will go up year by year to bow to the King, Hashem, the Lord of Legions, and to celebrate the Festival of Sukkot” (verse 16).
That is to say, Sukkot – though it is primarily our Festival – has significance and relevance and a message for all seventy nations of the world. Sukkot has a universal dimension.
But the day following Sukkot, the festival of Shmini Atzeret, by contrast, is an exclusively Jewish celebration.
We have mentioned previously that Shmini Atzeret took on the additional aspect of Simchat Torah during the late Second Temple period. Infusing Shmini Atzeret with the additional celebration the Torah (completing it and then immediately starting it over again) reinforces the idea that Shmini Atzeret is an exclusively Jewish celebration.
“If someone tells you that there is wisdom among the nations, then believe it…but [if he tells you that] there is Torah among the nations do not believe it” (Eichah Rabbah 2:13). Simchat Torah – the Celebration of the Torah – cannot be a universal celebration. Like Shmini Atzeret, it can be appropriate only for God’s nation of Torah.
Shmini Atzeret is the conclusion of two Jewish cycles. It is the conclusion of the cycle of the Pilgrimage Festivals – the annual cycle which begins with Pesach, continues with Shavuot, continues with Sukkot, and concludes with Shmini Atzeret.
It is also the conclusion of the Festivals of Tishrei. And appropriately, the first Festival in Tishrei, Rosh HaShanah, also has a universal dimension: it is the day when the entire world – not just Israel – is judged. But after the universal Day of Judgement, after God judges the whole of humanity and decrees war and peace, foul fortunes and fair for the entire world, comes Yom Kippur – the day which He has designated specifically for Israel’s atonement.
And concluding the Festivals of Tishrei is Shmini Atzeret.
Therefore it was appropriate for Chazal to infuse a third aspect of conclusion into Shmini Atzeret. By giving it the additional identity of Simchat Torah, Shmini Atzeret also concludes the Torah-reading cycle.
But the Torah-reading of Simchat Torah is designed to teach us one of the central principles of Judaism. As soon as we read the final word of the Torah, we immediately begin again at the beginning. The end of the cycle is not really the end: it is but the introduction to the next cycle. This comes to teach us that no end is really an end: every end is really a new beginning.
Just as the end of the Torah-reading cycle is the beginning of the new Torah-reading cycle, so too the end of Tishrei – the month of judgement – is the beginning of a new year with its new opportunities.
Jewish philosophy teaches this over and over again. The death of Moshe, with which the Torah concludes, was the beginning of our new period of national history as a sovereign nation in the Land of Israel. The destruction of the Holy Temple was the end of Jewish sovereignty in Israel; yet the Midrash tells us that on the day the Holy Temple was destroyed, Mashiach was born. That most terrible of disasters was the beginning of the process of redemption.
The standard phrase for the beginning of the messianic age is “keitz ha-yamin” (“the end of days”) – explicitly recognising that the end of this world will be the beginning of the new era.
On Shabbat of Chol ha-Moed Sukkot, we read Kohelet (Ecclesiastes). King Solomon wrote there that “the day of death is better than the day of birth” (7:1), which seems strangely nihilistic. But actually it is not. The day a baby is born no one knows what life he or she will live – troubled or serene, a life of sins or a life of mitzvot.
But on the day of death we can look back and see how the person lived, how he or she influenced the world, his neighbours, all those who knew him. For an evil person, the day of death is indeed better than the day of birth: “at the death of the evil there is rejoicing” (Proverbs 11:10), because “the death of the wicked is pleasant for them and pleasant for the world”.
And for the righteous person, the day of death, painful and sad though it is for those who remain in this world, is the beginning of the wonderful new life in the World to Come.
The combination of Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah teaches us this sombre yet comforting idea.

"Vezot HaBrachah"
Hoshanah Rabbah
Parashat Vezot HaBrachah - Judaism: Religion or Nation? - Rabbi Meir Kahane
... from His right hand He presented the fire of "dat" to them. Indeed, You loved the tribes greatly, all its holy ones were in Your hands; for they planted themselves at Your feet, bearing [the yoke of] Your utterances. (Deut. 33:2-3)
...He became King over Jeshurun when the numbers of the nation gathered the tribes of Israel in unity. (Deut. 33:5)
At Sinai, the first thing G-d commanded Moses to tell Israel was that they are a "holy nation." Not a religion, and certainly not just a people or nationality, but a great joining of both: a nation, a people - but holy. As our sages said (Mechilta, Yitro, BaChodesh 2) He called them a "nation," as it says (I Chron. 17:21), "And who is like your people Israel, one nation in the Land?" and He called them "holy," utterly sanctified, separate from the nations of the world and from their abominations.Israel are a holy nation, separate from all others. G-d commanded Moses to say this immediately before the Giving of the Torah, for it is the basis of the whole Torah, the definition of Israel.
Israel are not a religion, as so many of our fellow Jews unfortunately believe due to the exile. However much we examine the Torah, we do not find the word "dat" [religion], except for one time: - "...the fire of 'dat' to them" (Deut. 33:2, see above), and there the connotation is clear: the law of the King, not just some worship cut off from the concept of nationhood. Neither in the rest of Scripture do we find this word, except in the book of Ruth, where "dat" clearly refers to a royal command. It most certainly does not refer to mere worship or faith such as that connoted by the word "religion." "Religion" means one faith subscribed to by people of different nations, the only connection between them being that faith, while they are tied by nationality to other people in their land who subscribe to other faiths. Israel most certainly reject that conception and view it as an abomination. G-d labeled Israel a "people" and "nation" to emphasize that no Jew has any tie to state, nationality or society linking him to any non-Jew. All of Israel constitute a single unit, a nation set apart.
We are not a religion or a kehilah kedoshah, a "holy congregation," but a holy, chosen nation, tied to a holy and special land by a duty to return to it and settle it. The curse of the exile which befell us almost two thousand years ago distorted the very definition of a Jew. The Jew sank in the morass of forgetfulness of the main concept of G-d's Torah - the definition and identity of the Jewish People, the centrality within Torah of nationhood and a land. The very fact of a prolonged, ongoing exile accustomed the Jew to live without a land, to live not as a nation but as a religion. In this way, the Jewish People, holy and chosen and separate, tied by their umbilical cord to the Land of Israel, were transformed into a religion and form of worship without any close, vital connection to a land exclusively theirs. Without a country and a government, it is only natural that all the laws of government and statehood, and inseparable and central part of G-d's Torah were set aside like irrelevant laws, a sort of Shulchan Aruch for the future, and in effect forgotten entirely with the "religion" awaiting the Messiah's advent. All the concepts of people and nationhood, of normal, natural life, of leaders and wars, were filed away and ultimately denied. The emphasis came to be on the limited laws of the individual. A point was reached at which the very concepts of a state, a nation, and army, natural life in the Land of Israel were considered hostile, "irreligious" concepts - Heaven help us!
Scripture describes Israel as a "goy", a nation, and as "kadosh", holy. By being both, Israel merit victory over their enemies and life on their land, as it says "[You must thus make the choice] to love the L-rd your G-d, to obey Him, and to attach yourself to Him. This is your sole means of survival and long live when you dwell in the land that the L-rd swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, [promising] that He would give it to them" (Deut. 30:20). The Jewish People are not a nation like all others, but a holy nation which accepts upon itself the yoke of Heaven, holy character traits and G-d's mitzvot. This contradicts the approach of those who have cast off their yoke and thought to make us a nation like all others, neither holy nor apart.
[As Rabbi Kahane explains in "Peirush HaMaccabee" on Shemot, Ch. 1:] G-d chose Abraham because of his behavior and his merits; He rejected his son Ishmael and chose Isaac, too, because of his merits; again, He rejected Esau and chose Jacob due to his behavior. So after three successive generations of tzaddikim, all the subsequent offspring of the Patriarchs could be considered spiritually fit. G-d could forge them all into a chosen, treasured, and exalted nation, who would be His emissary to the human race and a light unto all the nations, to teach them the correct ways which they should follow. As King David said: "He forged [His covenant] with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and established it as a statute for Jacob, as an eternal covenant with Israel" (Psalms 105:9-10). They could fulfill this task only in their own Land, in which they would establish an exalted State, an exalted society, separated from the other nations' foreign culture. However, before Jacob's children could fulfill this role, they had to evolve from a collection of families and tribes to a single, unified nation, heading for its ultimate destiny in unity. Similarly, this nation itself had to believe with perfect emunah that Hashem is the true G-d, that He is omnipotent, that He is truly the Creator. Therefore, the nation had to undergo a period of suffering and servitude and tribulations, to the extent that they would despair of ever being redeemed, since it would be inconceivable to them that anyone would ever be able to defeat the mighty kingdom of Pharaoh, the "great crocodile". And so, only after this nadir of subjugation and despair, G-d humbled the haughty and exalted the humble, destroying those Egyptians who did not know Hashem. His miracles in Egypt and at the Red Sea, and the climax of knowledge of Hashem and sanctification of His Name at Mount Sinai, exalted and sanctified Him in the eyes of the world in general and Israel in particular. He appeared unto the entire Nation without exception, and forged them into a united Nation - His chosen and exalted Nation. This gave them their emunah in G-d and His greatness.
The Jewish People were conceived at the redemption from Egypt where they began to become a nation; born at Mount Sinai where they became a holy nation; and they achieved perfection when they entered Eretz Yisrael and at Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal stood for the blessings and the curses. We must never forget this great Torah principle: Perfection for Israel requires four elements: nationhood, the Torah, the Land and the language. It is a source of endless trouble that we have forgotten this and have, thereby, strayed from the path set for us by G-d. [See the] great allusion made by our sages when they established this foundation in the Grace After Meals. Berachot 48b teaches: R. Eliezer says, "Whoever does not mention the 'lovely and spacious land' in the second blessing of the Grace, or the 'royal house of David' in the third, has not met his obligation." Nachum HaZaken says: "He must mention the covenant." R. Yossi says, "He must mention Torah." R. Yosef Karo subsequently ruled: If he does not mention both covenant and Torah in the blessing on the Land, even if he omits only one of them, we make him go back... If he does not mention the royal house of David in the third blessing, we make him go back. (Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim, 187:3-4)
Here in their greatness, the sages of Israel established and defined precisely who and what Israel are: a monarchic nation, sanctified via covenant and Torah, living in their own land. The different elements are interdependent. The Jewish People's link to a state is tied to the holiness of the covenant and the Torah, and vice versa. The history of the Jewish People and their fate and future - whether for good or for evil, G-d forbid - depend on Israel's being a holy nation that clings to holiness and purity and to the yoke of Heaven. It is thus, clear that G-d not only gave the Jewish People a special land, but also decreed that they must live in it. Living in the Land is not merely a right, but a duty that cannot be forgone. It is a mitzvah, a Divine decree, that we must live in Eretz Yisrael under G-d's domination, sanctifying His name, in order to create a holy state and society which clings to mitzvot completely and properly, uninfluenced by the alien, false culture of the nations.
"Fortunate are you, O Israel: Who is like you! O people delivered by Hashem, the Shield of your help, Who is the Sword of your grandeur; your foes will try to deceive you, but you will trample their haughty ones." (Deut. 33:29)

PROOF POSITIVE!!
20 Tishrei 5774
5th Day Chol HaMoed Sukkot
This follow-up video to the one in the previous post showing Michael Fuah taking the arba minim on the Temple Mount (h/t Shy Guy) is PROOF POSITIVE of several things:
1) The Israeli anti-Jews are as scared as the goyim of the power of Torah combined with a Jewish presence on Har Habayit. (And with good reason I might add.)
2) It is just such mesirut nefesh which will advance the process of our redemption.
3) A great awakening is occurring in the souls of the true Jews and they are beginning to remember who they are and why they are here.
4) Mashiach and the rebuilt Beit HaMikdash are not far behind.
Tomer Devorah joins Shy Guy in giving a very heartfelt "Kol Hakavod" to Michael Fuah!

Time to Go back to the Shtetel
I want to tell you that I feel very strongly that we are going to soon experience some very amazing and frightening happenings in the world. We may see little happenings in Eretz Yisroel, but mainly now I feel it's going to be in the outer world beyond the borders of Eretz Yisroel.
I want to tell you Mommy and Tatti that we must - that is Klal Yisroel - must remember "Kedoshim Tehiu". This is the entire secret for doing complete Teshuva. I feel that this particular thing has been forgotten, for the most part, in Klall Yisroel. It's terrible to walk down Rechov Rabbi Akiva in Bnei Brak, or Malchei Yisroel in Yerushalayim, or even the famous center of the Frumest of the Frum, Meah Shearim in Yerushalayim, and to see how the Kedusha and the Tznius has deteriorated. For certain in New York; Boro Park, Seagate, even Williamsburg etc. Monsey, Lakewood wherever you choose, all over the world the Tznius has gone so far down, and no one realizes what's happening. They forgot that it's not considered Tzniusdik to see a woman's body moving along, fighting with its covering to stay in place.
No one seems to realize that most of the Rabbonim, in Eretz Yisroel at least, have said that you can't wear stretchy clothes like lycra or tee shirt material. But we ignore all of this, and we decide that the sleeve could be just under the elbow. Of course when you lift your arm, it goes way higher than that, and the tight skirt could be just below the knee, and when you sit down, well I won't go into that.
And how can such women who go to work in all kinds of offices with their long Sheitels and their made up faces? How can they support a Talmid Chachom? They are Baalos Aveiros. Just by walking down the street they catch the attention of many Yingerleit, and this is a big Aveira.
The money that they earn to support their husbands who are Talmidei Chachomim is worth nothing, and if anything it brings their husbands down.
So you might say there are other women that do dress Tzniusdik, but we forgot what Tznius is. And even if their clothes are a bit looser, their Sheitels look and are real hair. And as they walk along the streets the fact that they feel like their heads are uncovered with beautiful stylish hairdos which even if they are simple, are still chic, this gives a feeling of freedom; of not being married. And there are some women that have Sheitels that are very old-fashioned so-to-speak, and these old-fashioned Sheitels give a hechsher to all the fancy Sheitels, because a Sheitel is a Sheitel - you are wearing a Sheitel. You feel you are allowed to wear any kind of Sheitel, and it's very interesting how many Sheitels have hechsheirim. I can't understand what hechsher could be on a Sheitel. There's not even a way to know if it's Indian hair or not, but I think most of us have forgotten about the problem with Avodah Zarah in the Indian hair, and it makes no difference to anyone anymore even though it's still a very big problem. And there are many Yingerleit that enjoy the fact that their wives are being looked at by other men. It makes them feel proud that they have such a "Barbie doll wife".
Well all I can do is sit and cry. This is why we have so many problems in our marriages today, and why we have so little Kedusha in our community, and why Yiddishkeit is basically falling apart. You can't make your own rules and regulations. You can't make a Jewish home look like a Goyisha one except, that you keep Shabbos and Yom Tov etc, or your husband goes to learn in Kollel. It's just not enough. And the children even if they have long Payos, and seem like good Chassidisha little kids, the Gashmius has gone into their minds and into their hearts and they don’t go so deeply anymore into the truth. And this is all over the world now, because once you had Polish Jews and had German Jews and American Jews and so on, and there were places that were less Frum and more Frum, but now everything has gone down and everything is on the same low spiritual level. It's not like it used to be.
There was a time when Yidden, maybe not all Yidden, but many Yidden knew what Kedusha meant. They were careful in every way, because only someone with Kedusha can get close to Hashem. The Gashmius which produces the lack of Tznius, and the fact that many of us act like Goyim, brings us way down instead of being able to go up, because Kedusha makes us spiritually light, and we can rise higher and come closer to the truth. But Gashmius makes us heavy, with the pleasures of the Olam Hazeh.
But people will argue with me, "But we are Tzniusdik and it's not true," but the people who argue are not Tzniusdik, and the people who try to be Tzniusdik will never argue. They'll only try harder, try harder to come close to Hashem. It cannot be that a person who doesn’t even know what Kedusha means, can come close to Hashem. You can't sit around, couples men and women talking and schmoozing in your bungalow colonies, and come close to Hashem. You can't go to movies or see videos and come close to Hashem. You can't have parties with frivolous speech and singers imitating the jazzy and rock n' roll movements and get close to Hashem. You can't run from pizza store to falafel store sitting, guzzling, laughing, and come close to Hashem. You can't sit in restaurants where everybody can look in and see just exactly how you're eating and think that if you wash your hands and make a Brocha first and Bentch at the end you're OK. It's like eating in the marketplace. It's like vomiting on the table. It's not OK. You can't come close to Hashem, and it goes on and on.
I can't even begin to tell you what's wrong because there is so much to say. The Yeshivas, Hashem Yishmor, have many Bochurim that have a total lack of understanding of what Kedusha is all about and quite a few of the Bochurim are involved with many not Torahdik things that if they would be revealed would make many Yidden just sit down and cry at the failure of this generation to educate the Yeshiva Bochurim. You do have good Bochurim but it's very hard to be a good Bochur when so many open attitudes prevail. And as far as Bais Yaakov goes, most of the girls come out shallow and superficial, without being able to comprehend anything deeper than the material shallowness they have been engulfed with.
They are always a few that manage to break through, and find the truth, and are willing to go against society to hold on to that truth. Those are the ones that will have it the easiest now. Those are the ones that will just slide into the Geula with an easy movement. All the rest that are real Jews, real Jewish Neshomas, will have to suffer very much because they just don't understand. Because it will be so difficult for them to be able break away from all the Gashmius and stupidity in their lives.
I really have not covered the subject, but there is not too much more that I feel like saying. Any Emesdik person knows that what I've said is correct, and I can relate many more examples than I have given. So please Klal Yisroel –do Teshuva!
Come back to the truth.
Come back to the Emes.
Go back to the way it was once.
I am not talking about going back to the time of the Haskolah movement. I'm talking about going back to the Shtetel, I'm talking about the real true Talmidei Chachomim like the Talmidim of the Baal Shem Tov, of the Gra, or the Talmidim of the Arizal etc.
Am Yisroel. Build a Yiddisha Shtub a true Bais Mikdosh Mi'at, and I beg you do it fast because time is running out.

Sukkot: Be An Etrog!
14 Tishrei 5774
Erev Sukkot
Erev Sukkot
by Daniel Pinner
“You will take for yourselves on the first day [of Sukkot] the fruit of a citron tree, date-palm branches, twigs of a plaited tree, and willows of the stream; and you will rejoice before Hashem your God for seven days” (Leviticus 23:40).
The Midrash explains the Four Species to represent four different kinds of Jews: “Just as the etrog has both pleasant taste and pleasant fragrance, so there are Jews who have both Torah-learning and good deeds… The date-palm has a pleasant taste but no fragrance, representing Jews who have Torah-learning but have no good deeds…The myrtle has a pleasant fragrance but no taste, representing Jews who have good deeds but no Torah-learning… And the willow which has neither fragrance nor taste represents Jews who have neither Torah-learning nor good deeds” (Vayikra Rabbah 30:12).
All four species have to bepresent in order to fulfil the mitzvah; if any one of them is missing, then the Jew has not carried out the mitzvah at all (Rambam, Laws of Shofar, Sukkah and Lulav 7:5; Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim 651:12); if, for whatever reason, one or more of the species is unavailable, then one shakes the others without saying the Brachah, in memory of the mitzvah which should have been (Shulchan Aruch ibid.).
This recalls the aphorism of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook z”l (Russian Empire, England, and Israel 1865-1935), the doyen of religious Zionism, that the word “tzibur” (“community”) is the acronym of “tzaddik, beinoni, ve-rasha” (“righteous, intermediate, and wicked”). For a community to be complete, it has to include every Jew – including the sinners.
This is also the lesson of the compound which formed the incense in the Holy Temple. The Talmud (K’ritot 6a, Yerushalmi Yoma 4:5) and the Midrash (Yalkut Shimoni, Exodus 385) list all the ingredients of the incense. The dry ingredients were 70 manehs each of balm, onycha, galbanum and frankincense; 16 manehs each of myrrh, cassia, spikenard and saffron; 12 manehs of costus, 3 manehs of aromatic rind, and 9 manehs of cinnamon, for a total weight of 368 manehs (a maneh is approximately 425 grams/0.94 lb, so this total weight equals approximately 156.4 kg/345 lb).
The liquid ingredients were 9 kavs of lye distilled from leek, and 3 se’ahs and 3 kavs of Cyprus wine (1 kav is approximately 1.4 litres/3 US pints, and 1 se’ah is 6 kavs or 8.3 litres/2.2 US gallons), for a total of 30 kavs (42 litres/11.1 US gallons).
The Talmud (K’ritot 6b) cites Rav Chana bar Bizna, who quoted Rabbi Shimon the Hassid: “Any fast which does not include the sinners of Israel is no fast, for after all the galbanum has a bad smell yet the Torah includes it among the ingredients of the incense”.
Just as the incense had to include the foul-smelling galbanum, without which it is invalid; and just as a communal fast has to include the sinners of Israel, without whom it is no fast; and just as a community has to include the wicked, without whom the community is incomplete, so too the bundle of the Four Species has to include representatives of every kind of Jew, including the willow-twig Jew, the Jew who has neither Torah-learning nor good deeds to his merit.
The Four Species have some deep and important lessons to teach us about the different kinds of Jew.
When you go to buy your Four Species, look at each of them. The willow-twigs – the Jew who has neither learning nor good deeds – are invariably the cheapest of the four. But though it seems to have the least value – don’t have contempt for it. For without those cheap willow-twigs, you cannot fulfil the mitzvah of the Four Species.
Notice also how one willow-twig is indistinguishable from all the others, just as one myrtle is much the same as all the others.
Lulavim come in widely differing sizes. Its minimum length is four tefachim (hand-breadths): the minimum length of the myrtle and of the willow-twigs is three tefachim, and the lulav must extend a minimum of one tefach beyond them (Sukkah 32b; Rambam, Laws of Shofar, Sukkah and Lulav 7:8; Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim 650:1; Kitzur Shulchan Aruch 136:1); there is no maximum length for the lulav.
(Rabbi Mosher Feinstein z”l defines the tefach as 8.9 cm/3.5 inches, and the Chazon Ish defines the tefach as 9.6cm/3.8 inches.)
But though the lengths of lulavim vary greatly, they all look much the same as each other.
And now look at the etrogim – the species which represents the Jew who has both Torah-learning and good deeds. See what a variety they come in! Size, colour, shape – no two etrogim are identical. From the tiniest lemon-sized etrog to the biggest etrog the size of a small melon; hues of green, every shade of yellow, and combinations of green and yellow in a single etrog; from the smoothest to the roughest of skins; from almost spherical to the football-shaped to the wasp-waisted to the egg-shaped. All are kosher – and all are different, each has its own separate and distinct identity.
And then, during the course of Sukkot and the next few weeks, observe the Four Species. See how the willow-twigs wither and dry up within a matter of days. The Jew who has neither Torah-learning nor good deeds cannot survive very long – not even until the end of Sukkot.
The lulav survives a little longer, at least until the end of Sukkot. The Jew who has Torah-learning but no good deeds can be sustained by the Festival itself; but once the festivities stop, there is little to sustain the lulav-Jew.
The myrtle survives longer than the lulav. A week or so after Sukkot, when the lulav has already dried out, the myrtle is still green – although it is already beginning to wither.
This recalls Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa’s maxim: “Anyone whose [good] deeds exceed his wisdom – his wisdom will endure; but anyone whose wisdom exceeds his [good] deeds – his wisdom will not endure” (Pirkei Avot 3:12). The myrtle with its pleasant fragrance but no taste, representing the Jew who has good deeds but no Torah-learning, survives for appreciably longer than the lulav with its pleasant taste but no fragrance, representing the Jew who has Torah-learning but no good deeds.
And finally we come to the etrog, with its pleasant taste and pleasant fragrance, representing the Jew who has both Torah-learning and good deeds. The etrog remains fresh and fragrant and yellow (or green) for weeks.
Study and internalise the lesson of the Four Species. Be an etrog-Jew! Contribute both pleasant taste and pleasant fragrance to the bundle of the Four Species, contribute both Torah-learning and good deeds to the community.
The etrog-Jew is the Jew who survives, the Jew who endures.

There are many ways to be a beacon in darkness

From a Jerusalem Post article yesterday:
"Former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, Richard Kemp, says Israel may be "the only reliable power in the region" and "only one the world can count on" to maintain security".
...Assad’s position would be strengthened by a more positive international stance towards him, “combined with very active Russian support and American collusion with that support,” Kemp said. Iran’s position, too, would be strengthened significantly, he continued, as the value of American deterrence “appears to be degraded as a result of this, and Iran’s own position is obviously strengthened by what will be its closer relations with Russia.”
This spells bad news from Israel’s perspective, Kemp said, adding nonetheless that “Israel appears to be the only reliable power in the region. America’s power and American deterrence is reduced. Israel remains the one reliable power that the world can count on to intervene if the situation gets too dangerous.”
He noted the three times that Israel, according to foreign media reports, intervened in Syria to prevent the transfer of advanced weapons, and the alleged 2007 Israeli air strike on Syria’s nuclear project.
“It’s that sort of action we need to be prepared to do,” Kemp said. “If Israel hadn’t struck Syria’s nuclear project, the situation now could be very different. We could be trying to deal with nuclear-armed Syria, which would be an impossibility. Israel is showing itself to be the only reliable power.”
Seems to me that we heard this same thing about Osirak when the US invaded Iraq. This is undeniably another sign that Eisav is descending and Ya'aqov is ascending. And it's going very fast now.

The Final Hours of this Golus
I want to say today that the world has become so wild, senseless, and irrational. If we don't just trust in Hashem there is no way we can get up every morning and get through the day. When you have all of these crazy things happening around you, all of these things that seem to go against one another, be directly opposite each other, when the same people are saying two opposite things with the same conviction, well its definitely maddening and is very hard to get through it.
Our food is poisoned. Our minds are poisoned. We can't trust the immunizations that they give us in the Kupot Cholim (healthcare providers) all over the world. We can't trust anything. We can't trust the police. We can't trust the government. We can't even trust our own clergy in many instances. So what's left? There is nothing we can trust anymore. There is only one thing we can still trust and that’s Hakodosh Boruch Hu, the Ribbono Shel Olam (Creator of the World).
If we have true Emunah and Bitachon in Him we will be O. K. We can even eat the poisoned food, we can even be not too afraid of the police, and we can even be in the most dangerous situations, and we don’t have to fear. He took us out of Mitzrayim whole. He will take us out of this Golus whole. He will negate the poisons. He will negate the radioactivity. He will negate everything that can cause us harm, and we are going to come through all the difficulties with great Nissim (miracles) and Rachamim (kindness, pity). But on one condition, that we hold on to Him, so-to-speak, and not let go. That we hold on to His Torah and try to fulfil His Ratzon (will). And that’s the only protection there is in this confused, polluted, horrible world full of evil people.
How many Jews will survive? I cannot say. It won't be nearly as many as claim they are Jews, that I do know. But don’t forget, the world is poisoned from the grass to the sky, from the land to the depths of the ocean. It is poisoned, poisoned by the evil ones, by the evil people running the world or thinking that they run the world. But we will be protected. They couldn’t kill us in Mitzrayim. They couldn’t destroy us anywhere. They couldn't stamp out the Jews in any place. Not with poison, not with gas, not with bullets, not with swords, they couldn’t get rid of the Jewish people. And now we still will survive. Even the leaders of the state of Israel won't be able to eliminate the real Jews.
We are living in a terrible world. We cannot trust anything. Wherever we live, we Jews cannot trust the governments including in Eretz Yisroel, the police including in the State of Israel, including Bituach Leumi or Social Security or anything. We cannot trust the food. We cannot trust the Hechshers. We cannot trust anything, only Hakodosh Boruch Hu, and He will save us. Not the doctors and not their medicines. Only He will save us!
I cannot wait, for the final hours of this Golus. I cannot wait to see the shock and the fear of those evil ones when they realize that they are doomed. I cannot wait to see the Yidden, true Yidden smiling and happy walking into the Geula Shelaima, walking out of the darkness into the most beautiful light, the most holy spiritual light that will heal us all; our bodies and our souls.
I want to beg Hashem to put an end to this Golus already. It's too hard, and it's too painful, and I can't bear to watch how the Yidden are suffering. The whole world is suffering, but most of the Goyim have brought it on themselves, and are making a tremendous Tikkun for all the evil that’s been done throughout the generations. I can't wait to see Moshiach come and reveal himself and dash all the false beliefs of all the people that believe in the false prophets and in the false messiahs. I can't wait to see it. I can't wait! I'll be so happy, and all the Yidden will be so happy, and the world will be happy, and Hashem will clear out the poisons and bury all the dead, and we will again be one with our Hakodosh Bourch Hu, our Father in Heaven.
We, His wayward children, will finally come back to our Tatti and we will be complete and loved and unafraid in His embrace.

EXPLODING!
Events since Rosh Hashanah have exploded around the world. What is going to happen next?
Yesterday
The State of Colorado experienced a 'Biblical' rain and flood event. Seven are confirmed dead and twelve hundred are still unaccounted for. "Nearly 19,000 homes were damaged or destroyed."
While that was happening, Mexico got slammed between a hurricane out of the Gulf of Mexico and a tropical storm out of the Pacific Ocean.
"Rivers overflowed their banks, mudslides buried houses and roadways flooded as fierce tropical storm systems hit opposite sides of Mexico, killing at least 21 people, an official said."
Today
There is an ongoing - possibly terror - event in Washington, DC...
At least
Debka is reporting...
"This command center focused in recent weeks on planning fleet preparations in the east Mediterranean for a US cruise missile strike on the Syrian chemical weapons that was later called off. Two days ago, Al Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri issued a videotaped call for an adherent to carry out a “lone wolf attack” inside the United States."
Israel-PA Negotiations Continue Amid Jordan Valley Controversy
Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority continued in Jerusalem on Monday, amid a familiar pattern of Israeli and American silence and PA leaks.
In the most recent leak, a PA official said that during the negotiations, Israel agreed to a wholesale deportation of thousands of Jews from Judea and Samaria and the transfer of their property to PA Arabs.
...Saeb Erekat, told an Arabic radio station that the US has guaranteed the PA all of its key preconditions in advance of negotiations.
Tomorrow?
Doomsday in Japan? Radiation-Stricken Fukushima Power Plant in Direct Path of Typhoon Man-yi
"As if its radiation concerns aren't enough, Japan might receive another radiation leaking problem from the same crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant. Typhoon Man-yi has started battering southern Japan, and its path has been forecast to directly hit the nuclear plant."

MK Nachman Shai (Labor) said regarding the Supreme Court ruling the Prevention of Infiltration Law unconstitutional that "The decision brings back the rosiness to Israel's cheeks. The court's decision to cancel the law obligates Israel to honor human rights."
MK Shai added that "We must battle infiltration, but in doing so, we must maintain infiltrators' rights to the best of our ability as long as they are in Israel. It's appropriate that the Justice Ministry examines how a law like this could be made." (Moran Azulay)

Negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority continued in Jerusalem on Monday, amid a familiar pattern of Israeli and American silence and PA leaks.
Israeli sources refused to confirm the meetings, in line with an agreement by the involved parties - Israel, the US and the PA - to refrain from public comments on the talks until real progress had been made.
...while Israeli officials have remain tight-lipped about the talks, PA officials have made several leaks to the press.

This is how I would describe everyone involved with building and utilizing nuclear power. Of course, it was the US who used it first in 1951. Russia was second in 1954 and England followed in third place in 1956. Today, there are 437 nuclear power plants in 31 countries. One-fourth of the total is in the US alone. Thank G-d there are none in Israel or any of the nations who share our borders, but the world becomes a very small place when you're talking about the spread of radioactive contamination. (Nuclear power plants, world-wide)
The REAL Fukushima Danger
"...people should evacuate the Northern Hemisphere if one of the Fukushima fuel pools collapses."

Pimping Jewish Children in the Holy Land
12 Tishrei 5774
Most of my readers are aware that I monitor xian movements, missionaries, ministries, etc which have designs on Jews and Israel in order to keep Jews informed and aware of the threats out there. And as history proves to us over and over again, the threats are many and varied and unrelenting. Unfortunately for us, many of our brethren, weary of the fight, have given up and given in to the siren song of so-called 'Xian Zionism.' Now, that's bad enough, but when they choose to expose innocent Jewish children in exchange for hefty donations - well, there's really nothing else you can call it, is there?
This actually first came to my attention a few years ago, but it has been getting worse. I began to notice how some yishuvim featured pictures of their children when soliciting donations and saw write-ups about xian tour groups being allowed access to the children while at school. Geula girl and I wondered the same thing - do the parents even know?
That's why she wrote: "Do you know where your children are?"
And it's why I am featuring this topic here. If you have family, friends or neighbors with children in Judea and Samaria - especially Samaria - or at Shalva or Alyn (where xians are known to volunteer), warn them now!
See "A special volunteer opportunity in Jerusalem" where self-proclaimed "prophet of god" musician/donor Kim Clement is encouraged to hug, kiss and caress developmentally challenged Jewish boys and girls in a Jerusalem institution while its rabbi-director looks on.
"...Just this year, several Christian groups either visited or volunteered at Shalva.... Another organization from the United States, Kim Clement Ministries, didn't just visit, but brought its own musicians to play with Shalva's dedicated band of teenagers with special needs in an inspiring and emotional performance."
They were singing xian praise songs which means when they say "Lord," they are speaking not of HKB"H, but of Jeezuz. G-d have mercy on Your children and give them a clue - or two!
A Harsh Decree for the New Year

Jews, take note. Everything that happens in the world is a message to you! People are trapped, cut off and missing. No food, no water, no sewage, no roads in or out. This could be your future, if you fail to act now.
Report from the Weather Blog:
Colorado's epic deluge is finally winding down, as a trough of low pressure moves across the state and pushes out the moist, tropical airmass that has brought record-breaking rainfall amounts and flooding. Devastating flash floods swept though numerous canyons along the Front Range of Colorado's Rocky Mountains Wednesday night and Thursday morning, washing out roads, collapsing houses, and killing at least [four] people. The flood that swept down Boulder Creek into Boulder, Colorado was a 1-in-100 year event, said the U.S. Geological Survey. A flash flood watch continues through noon Friday in Boulder. According to the National Weather Service, Boulder's total 3-day rainfall as of Thursday night was 12.30". Based on data from the NWS Precipitation Frequency Data Server, this was a greater than 1-in-1000 year rainfall event. The city's previous record rainfall for any month, going back to 1897, was 9.59", set in May 1995. Some other rainfall totals through Thursday night include 14.60" at Eldorado Springs, 11.88" at Aurora, and 9.08" at Colorado Springs. These are the sort of rains one expects on the coast in a tropical storm, not in the interior of North America! The rains were due to a strong, slow-moving upper level low pressure system to the west of Colorado that got trapped to the south of an unusually strong ridge of high pressure over Western Canada. This is the same sort of odd atmospheric flow pattern that led to the most expensive flood disaster in Canadian history, the $5.3 billion Calgary flood of mid-June this summer.
Jews, take note. Everything that happens in the world is a message to you! People are trapped, cut off and missing. No food, no water, no sewage, no roads in or out. This could be your future, if you fail to act now.

B"H, Israel no longer dependent on outside supply of lulavim! Chag Sameach!!
700,000 Locally Grown Lulavim Available in Eretz Yisrael
While in past years many lulavim were imported to Eretz Yisrael from Egypt, the experts are reporting this will not be necessary this year as there are 700,000 locally grown lulavim available. Two-thirds of these lulavim come from Jordan Valley/Beit Shean area kibbutzim. In addition, 200,000 lulavim have been exported to the United States.
Most of the lulavim are grown in one of the religious kibbutzim under rabbinical supervision. The largest supplier is Kibbutz Tirat Tzvi in the Beit Shean Valley, which produces 10% of the lulavim in Israel.
In past years, lulavim were imported from Egypt, Jordan and Gaza, and this was associated with an array of issues, including threatened boycotts, security issues and supporting one’s enemies.
Nechemia Refel, the secretary of the Religious Kibbutz Movement is proud that today there is a sufficient number of home grown lulavim, grown by Jews in accordance with halacha as well as sending 200,000 to N. America....

Kapparos of תשע"ד
Tatti: Moishe'la you were so happy when you left to go to Kapparos this morning, and you were so happy when you came back, but then you laid down and started to cry. Why?
Moishela: I saw the live chicken and saw the chicken after it was Shechted. I saw it laying in a pool of blood and I felt that this is a warning of all the violence that will be in the world this year. תשע"ד will bring the worst of the Rishus (evil) to the surface. I know that it is all for the good but still it is very frightening.
It is just like the chicken after the Shechita. You see its lifeless body and its blood staining the ground. One's heart goes out to the poor dead animal and you feel depressed. But that chicken was killed according to the laws of kashrus that were brought down and given to Am Yisrael at Har Sinai in our Holy Torah. It then becomes a nourishing meal for a Tzaddik who makes a Brocha on it to thank Hashem before and after he eats the chicken.
Really that chicken that looked so gruesome just a short time before, that was killed in a seemingly harsh way, comes back to life with a Brocha and having the Zechus of being the food that sustains a Tzaddik or even a simple Jew. Such a chicken never really dies; it just takes on a new form. It changes its worldly disguise to a spiritual form.
Now that I said all that, I can also say that when I was looking at the dead chicken I felt that תשע"ד will be a very difficult year.
I plead with Am Yisroel please do Teshuva NOW! Throw away all your stupid toys, throw away your silly pass times. Live only to do your Creator's will. Love your fellow Jew, and don't wish him harm.
All Yidden Frum, or not, that cause harm to their fellow Jews, that have jealousy and hatred in their hearts for their own kind, those Jews who participate in actually being Malshinim (informers to the authorities) or just physically getting pleasure from seeing fellow Jews hurt or dishonored, those Jews whoever they are, whether they are important people of the community or lesser people, they are not Jews. They are Erev Rav!
So I beg all true Jews, Jews that can have love in their hearts for their fellow Jews, do Teshuva NOW! Discard all excess Gashmius, build a true Jewish home where the husband is an Oved Hashem and an Ohev Yisroel and a Baal Chessed and one that learns Torah, where the wife is a true Tzniusdik Eshes Chayil and the children are Temimusdik, sweet, Erlich, well behaved, and truly believing in Hashem. That is a true Jewish home, a true Bais Hamikdosh Mi'at.
Come back Am Yisroel!
When I looked at the dead-lifeless chicken I became very sad. But then I realized that the chicken gave its physical life in order to sustain the Tzaddik. The chicken still exsits but in a much higher form .And we human beings too will live on Be'ezeras Hashem. We won't need to be Shechted if we are ready to sacrifice our whole selves to the will of HaKodosh Boruch Hu. This living Al Kidush Hashem, this changing of our physical form to a more spiritual one, will prove that our Neshomos are the Neshomos of the Jews that stood at Har Sinai. And those so-called Jews that do not do Teshuva in such a way, will be Shechted like the chickens, but not in Kedushah, and they will just disappear. Their carcasses will be thrown to the dogs and will be food for the Sitra Achra.
Excuse my graphic descriptions, but too few people are waking up. Maybe this will help some people do something right now to come back to the truth so their suffering will be much less in this coming year. תשע"ד will, Bezeras Hashem, bring the whole world through a most difficult time but will clearly reveal the road that will bring Be'ezras Hashem all Am Yisrael to the Geula Shelaimah.

UPDATE: Chabad Center Floods Right Before Yom Kippur
...Rabbi Yisroel Wilhelm of Chabad at University of Colorado says he is thankful that his family and the students he knows are okay. “Not everyone is accounted for yet, but we are hopeful,” says the rabbi.
He does not know, however, where his congregation will be worshiping on Yom Kippur, which begins on Friday night—as his synagogue and part of his home are under a foot of water. “Thank G‑d, the students [of Colorado University] have been immensely helpful moving the Torahs and other sacred items to higher ground, and we still have 24 hours to work out where we will pray,” says the rabbi, noting that some people will not be able to attend services—considered the most important of the year—due to blocked roads.
“When we will gather, wherever it may be, you can be sure that we will be remembering those who have lost their lives and praying for a quick end to the rainfall,” says the rabbi.
This is more proof, like with Storm Sandy, that although this judgment is not intended for Jews, but for the nations who mock God, still, if they remain there among the gentiles, they will suffer along with the gentiles - needlessly. Come home!

Firefighters Make Stand Against NJ Boardwalk Blaze
Firefighters dug a trench and tore out a section of Jersey Shore boardwalk in an effort to prevent a furious, wind-whipped blaze from jumping to an area just rebuilt after Superstorm Sandy.
...It destroyed a length of boardwalk containing perhaps 30 businesses, officials said, near the same stretch of sand where a rollercoaster landed upright in the ocean after Sandy hit the coastline in October 2012.
...By nightfall, a six-block length of boardwalk south of Lincoln Avenue had been almost totally destroyed, ...The site of the trench and beyond included a stretch of boardwalk just rebuilt after Sandy devastated the area.
"Biblical" rains trigger flooding that kills 3 in Colo.
Massive flash flooding along Colorado's picturesque Front Range mountains, triggered by what the National Weather Service termed "biblical rainfall amounts,'' killed at least three people Thursday, cut off small towns and forced countless residents to scramble for high ground.
..."This is not an ordinary day. It is not an ordinary disaster,'' Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said, describing walls of water as high as 20 feet that tore down mountainsides and canyons already scarred and denuded from wildfires.
..."It's just raging, gushing water,'' Lyons resident Carin Gray said.
Colorado floods
...Coloradans went to bed Wednesday night with no inkling that overnight rain could be heavy enough to flood canyons and send rivers of water from Boulder south to Colorado Springs.
Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said the "devastating storm" dumped more than half a foot of rain on the region during a 19-hour period.
..."The rain, it almost feels like hail, the drops are so thick," University of Colorado Boulder student Ryan Colla told CNN affiliate KUSA. "It just keeps coming and coming, and when you think it's going to subside, it starts to rain down harder."
The sudden influx of water turned Boulder Creek -- which runs through the campus and other parts of the city bearing its name -- into a high, fast, muddy and dangerous torrent, Colla told the station.
"It freaked us out," he said.
At its peak, Boulder Creek was flowing at 16 times its normal rate for this time of year, city spokeswoman Sara Huntley said.
...Water rushed through Aurora, east of Denver, swirling and breaking like an ocean hitting a beach.
...In Lyons, water was flowing over the tops of five dams, ...."We've lost roads, we've lost bridges, cars, homes,"....
...rescue helicopters...are currently grounded because of fog, low clouds and rain.

Repentance as a Nation: The Key to Redemption – Rabbi Meir Kahane
“If you follow My statutes... I will bring peace in the Land... and if you do not listen to Me... I will bring upon you disaster” (Lev. 26:14, 16)
The Torah is Israel's strength. When they guard it, G-d strengthens them to overcome the nations, and only through that strength do the nations recognize Israel's might and submit to them peacefully. Now, dear friend, heed a great principle for our age, when the Messiah's footsteps are so near. Place it over your eyes and heart – perhaps G-d will have mercy. The period in which Gog goes forth to war against Israel will be a terrible time of fear and dread on earth. If Israel are unworthy of redemption “in haste,” redemption devoid of terrible Messianic birthpangs, G-d in His great mercy, will try to delay, so as to avoid bringing the world redemption “ in its time.” Like a merciful father, G-d extends His deadline again and again in hopes of His children repenting and returning to Him, so that He, in turn, can return to them instantaneously, in glory and majesty.
Ponder my words well. Perhaps they will influence your emotions and understanding, dear reader, to hurry and cry out to our people, to tell them how to save themselves from awful, avoidable suffering. G-d said, “Oh that my people would hearken to Me and Israel walk in My ways – I would soon subdue their enemies” (Ps. 81:14-15). I have already explained that if Israel would only listen to G-d, He would bring redemption literally in a moment, for He is ready to take revenge on Gog and the nations instantaneously. G-d also said, “Oh that you had hearkened to My mitzvot! Your peace would then be like a river” (Isaiah 48:18) Avodah Zarah 5a teaches, “If only [hebr. 'im'] you would follow My statutes (Lev. 26:3): 'Im' can only connote supplication. It thus says, “Oh that My people would hearken to Me” and, “Oh that you had hearkened to My mitzvot!” G-d entreats Israel, so to speak, to repent and do acts of self-sacrifice, for only this will prove their faith and trust in G-d – and through such acts G-d will hasten redemption. Our sages said (Torat Kohanim, Bechukotai, Parsheta 1): “If only you would follow My statutes”: This teaches that G-d yearns for Israel to toil in Torah. It likewise says, “Oh that My people would hearken to Me”; “Oh that you had hearkened to My mitzvot!” and, “If only their hearts would remain this way, in awe of Me... for all time, so that it would go well with them and their children forever” (Deut. 5:26).
These verses surely refer to mitzvah observance, yet to bring redemption much more is required. The source continues: 'If only you would follow My statutes”: Might this refer to mitzvah observance? When the verse adds, “And be careful to keep My mitzvot” (Lev. 26:3), that connotes mitzvah observance. What then am I to learn from the first part of the verse? That we must toil in Torah. We learn a major principle here. G-d does not suffice with mere mitzvah observance. Rather, He demands toil, hard labor, even psychological grief. He demands that we keep the difficult mitzvot which require faith and trust in G-d. Generally, these are the chukim, the statutes, which are hard to fathom and which oppose the will of man, who is ensnared by his weak, limited intellect. G-d says, “If you would only follow My statutes.” If we follow the ways of the Torah, even regarding the difficult chukim; if we do not just study them mechanically but engage in difficult, discouraging toil, in faith and trust in G-d, which is what G-d yearns for, then He will bring redemption instantaneously.
G-d fiercely longs to sanctify His name, profaned daily by the nations, but He demands that Israel sanctify His name first through complete and perfect faith and trust in G-d. They must take hold of dangerous, frightening mitzvot which leave them isolated and alone, with the nations opposing them, for only this can prove their real trust in Him. Then, when they have sanctified His name in this way, He will go forth in His wrathful revenge against the nations who profane His name, and will thereby save both Israel and Himself, so to speak.
Thus, complete and perfect deeds of trust in G-d sanctify His name, blot out the terrible chilul Hashem inherently associated with fear of the nations, and pave the way for majestic redemption “in haste”. What, then, are these deeds? I shall enumerate them, dear friend, and you should engrave them on your hearts and proclaim them loudly in the streets to the Jewish People, before G-d's great and awesome punishment visits us, Heaven forbid!
1. Those Jews who dwell in the impure exile, thereby scorning the Pleasant Land and its holiness, profane G-d's name by their very habitation under the yoke and sovereignty of the nations. Through their dependency on the nations, they transform them and their false religion to masters over Israel, to whom Israel must lift their eyes. G-d will not bear this chilul Hashem. He will not tolerate the assimilation and the influence of the alien culture on Israel. These destroy their souls and introduce foreign thoughts into the Jewish People and their Torah. This conquest of Jewish bodies and souls is a chilul Hashem, and also prevents the Jewish People from being a chosen, special people who dwell alone in their holy, special land. G-d, therefore, decreed that Israel had to leave Egypt and go up to Eretz Yisrael, and that otherwise, it would be their burial place. The first exile is an omen for the last. G-d will not give in regarding Israel's scorning the Land. When it comes time for G-d to punish the nations for their sins, raining down upon them His wrath, He will “turn their hearts to hate His people, to scheme against His servants” (Ps. 105:25). All this will be in addition to the tragedy He will unleash upon all Jews who live among the nations, when He takes revenge on the nations for all their sins through the collapse of lands and peoples. G-d's liquidating the exile through Israel's leaving it and going up to Eretz Yisrael is a major part of His removing the chilul Hashem and sanctifying His name.
2. The impoverished regime, whose conception and birth occurred in the alien culture of the nations, and who denies the Torah of Moses, has refused to apply the authority and sovereignty of the people and G-d of Israel upon all parts of Eretz Yisrael for fear of the nations. This constitutes a chilul Hashem, a rebellion against and degradation of the holiness of Eretz Yisrael, large parts of which have remained under the control of the nations. A condition for complete redemption through Kiddush Hashem is control and sovereignty of the G-d and of the people of Israel over all portions of Eretz Yisrael in our hands.
3. For many hundreds of years, Jews lifted their eyes to the Holy Temple, about which was decreed, “Any alien who comes near shall die” (Num. 18:7). Here was the Holy of Holies where only the Kohen Gadol could enter once a year. The presence at this site of impure Ishmaelite heathens who wholeheartedly hate the Jewish People is blasphemy. The impoverished regime is handing over to the impure Ishmaelites ownership and authority over the Temple Mount and simultaneously preventing G-d's people, Israel, from ascending to the permissible places. Let all ears be spared hearing about this! For this shall Zion sit in sackcloth, in somber mourning. Could any chilul Hashem be more severe, more degrading? What can one say, knowing that the cause of all this is the heretics' fear of the nations and absolute lack of trust in G-d? Israel are turning the Divine blessing and kindness associated with the beginning of redemption, which are a Kiddush Hashem, into an unprecedented nightmare, a sordid, abominable chilul Hashem. G-d's wrath looms over us, and woe to the insult to our holy mountain! We bear a holy duty to remove the cursed Ishmaelites from the site of our Temple and to remove the disgrace of their mosques which daily anger G-d, if we hope to save our souls from the day of wrath.
4. The call of the hour is to “drive out all the Land's inhabitants” (Num. 33:52). Woe to us for having dealt treacherously with the Land and it's owner, G-d! Through our fear of the nations, we have refused to conquer the Land by banishing the enemies and revilers of Israel, the lowly Ishmaelites. How much innocent blood has been spilled in the Holy Land through murderers being allowed to remain in it!
G-d is imploring us, His beloved, chosen sons, to agree to accept what He desires to give us. The Messiah is knocking at our door, his footsteps can be heard in the streets, and the voice of the G-d of Israel calls: “Return to Me – the word of the L-rd of hosts – and I will return to you” (Zechariah 1:3). Hasten! Hurry! In glory! Today! At this very moment! “Today, if you hearken to His voice!” (Ps. 95:7). Yet if, G-d forbid, we miss our chance, and the moment arrives from which there is no turning back; if, Heaven forbid, G-d brings the last stage of redemption “in its time”, with Messianic birthpangs and tragedies the likes of which we have never known, then it will come, suddenly, out of the blue.
This is the choice, the only choice. All the rest is worthless and of no avail. Time is running out. The decision is in our hands.
