Hashem should be merciful and send us Mashiach to finish with armies once and for all!Devorah Chayahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03625277197970920616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2492192659601155685.post-15131581398783934352014-04-27T21:41:29.452+03:002014-04-27T21:41:29.452+03:00Hi, Devash. You have no idea how much I needed to ...Hi, Devash. You have no idea how much I needed to see this post from beginning to end!

Also, to second your comment: I have a son going into the army (we are charedi, but he personally is not) and I told him that he would have to second-guess his orders because the high mucky-mucks leading the IDF are mostly Erev Rav. Or something.
Also, when I was dati-leumi, I remember a fellow dati-leumi guy telling me that when he was in the army, he went to his cot to go to sleep, but there was a female soldier already there -- waiting for him! Being a good boy, he immediately raced out of there like the barracks were on fire -- which they were, in a sense. (A lot of these kippah-seruga boys are so earnest and innocent, they make my heart melt.)
A lot of people aren't aware of the state-funded abortions provided for female soldiers who probably wouldn't have even gotten pregnant had they not been in the army.
Even more tragically, there are all the unnecessary deaths of which I realize you are well-aware. Remember Roi Klein? What a holy soul; he needed to throw himself on a grenade to save the others, yet it was all unnecessary because the IDF should have made an aerial assault instead of sending soldiers in on foot. But no, those heading the IDF value so-called "civilian" lives (after all, Fatma needs to continue sending little Ahmed to Jihad school) over the precious lives of holy Jews like Roi Klein. Even his wife acknowledged it when she said that yes, he was very special, but now he is not around to show others by example.
It infuriates me because it's as if Jewish soldiers were sacrificing their lives for "civilians" back in Nazi Germany.
Another example is sending Israeli commandos armed only with paint guns to the Gaza flotilla, only to be disemboweled and forced to walk around like that.
Hashem is making it more and more in-our-face obvious how much our military victories are only because of Hashem's great love and compassion for us.
Thanks for not letting us forget it, Devash.Dassienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2492192659601155685.post-45994585037787602542014-04-27T14:13:48.038+03:002014-04-27T14:13:48.038+03:00Very beutiful except when he called thearmy spirit...Very beutiful except when he called thearmy spiritual filth and thieves.
