A Final Critical Thought Before Yom Kippur

Erev Yom Kippur
G'mar Chatimah Tovah!

This is paraphrased from an instruction by Rav Yehudah HaCohen Richter...

We know that Yom Kippur effects forgiveness for sins committed against HKB"H, but not for those committed against other people.  To obtain forgiveness from someone you have wronged, you must approach them in person and ask for their forgiveness.  There are several halachic opinions, however, which say, in fact, that Yom Kippur will not effect forgiveness for sins against HKB"H UNTIL FIRST the sins bein adam l'chavero have been taken care of.

May we all repent our wrongdoings against both our fellows and HKB"H and may we all find forgiveness for same and experience the joy of the peace that results from it.
