And the Birur Continues...

25 Iyyar 5779
Day 40 of the Omer

I've seen two or three minor headlines in the last 24-hrs stating that this or that group "does NOT want a state of halacha."  This is the result of the election debacle being cast as a secular vs. religious battle over the State's character.

ANYone, kippah-wearer or not, bearded or not, who will stand up and say he does not desire to live in this country in accordance with Divine Law, should realize that he is essentially saying he does not want to see Mashiach - ever.  Furthermore, he might as well admit, too, that when Shavuot arrives, he has nothing whatsoever to celebrate.

Let's be completely honest.  Whoever feels this way has no place and no future in Eretz Yisrael.

  1. I agree with you that we all should want a halachic state, but...as a Limud Zechut to those who said this:

What they likely meant is that their party's political role is not to fundamentally change the country to a halachic state, but rather to keep the halachic status quo so that it doesn't get any worse. They don't see Mashiah coming gradually via a political solution, but rather only a miraculous method, so calling for a halachic state right now, in their view, gains them nothing in the interim and undermines their political interest. I'm not saying I agree with that position, but I wouldn't say such people don't want Mashiah - they just don't believe using politics to push for a Mashiah-like era is the correct way to go about it. They may even believe it to be Doheik Et Hakeitz.

    1. I should clarify. I'm referring to Likud people and Liberman's people and people like Lapid. Among them are people who are quasireligious. People like THIS

I'm talking about people who would fight Mashiach himself before agreeing to live under religious law. I did not have Hareidim in mind at all. I also do not believe Mashiach will come forward through the political process, but only when it collapses under the weight of its own corruption.

    2. No I don't believe this is true. These are people who do not want nedinat israel a secular government to EVER end. Liberman brags about eating treif. Lapid is at war with religious Jews, not something new. You can look back at speeches he made a long time ago. They want to be a nation of all people and any discusion of Mishiach and a kingdom is inciteful speech in their eyes. They are not expecting a miraculous revelation. They don't believe in miracles. I agree with the author. They separate themselves.

  2. All the nations want their messiah - it's just not the one we want. About the remarks by the glib and egotistical, the rabbis are biding their time, they're in no hurry, preparing for Shabbat and Shavuot, letting Hashem run things for us. There's nothing more to do but keep on keeping on while the machine turns out more LH.

  3. Agree with Devash and Gavriela Devorah. A majority of today's Jews in EY (&, of course, elsewhere) do not even understand the concept of Moshiach. They think the religious live in a mythological world and they laugh at us. The whole problem has always been that the government from the start was secular and led by athiestic people. Today, it's worse. Liberman and Lapid are the worst as they have no faith whatsoever and appreciate, c'v, the G-Dless and degenerate world of today and that's what they are determined to have in Eretz Hakodesh, r'l. Any Jew today who will vote for these G-Dless and leftists politicians are, literally, committing a sin, for they should understand that voting for those who blatantly fight against Hashem and His Torah in the Holy Land cannot and will not win. In the end, they are putting their souls in danger from Above and putting the people of Israel in mortal danger. H' yerachem!

  4. Remember, most jews today are erev rav and many are ignorant and brainwashed!

There are some good people in the parliament but they only have a face and words not voice and have no power to fight this so it is up to us to build the walls around us and protect our families and fellow jews from falling for this hypocrisy
