Did You See Eliyahu HaNavi?

15 Iyyar 5775
Day 30 of the Omer

Because there are still questions in people's minds, let's re-visit this issue of "seeing" Eliyahu HaNavi on Leil HaSeder.

Moishela, in his message "I Have Been Given Permission to Reveal to You Future Events" said the following...
On Shvii Shel Pesach we will hear the Shofar. We will hear the Shofar and on Leil Haseder each house will see Eliyahu Hanavi, all the Jews that are Emesdik will see him and it will give us strength, but it still won’t be the time of redemption.
In further explanation, Daniel, in a message entitled "We're Not Prophets"  said...
And when he [Moishela] says that there will be Jews who will really see Eliyahu HaNavi, but it still won't be the geulah, what does it mean? It means that the world will be in such a situation that whoever has enough faith-trust in HKB"H, he will be able to see Eliyahu HaNavi and if not with his eyes - then he will be able to feel him, to recognize him, to recognize that he is the messenger heralding the coming of our righteous Mashiach.

In an article in the OU's Jewish Action magazine, What’s the Truth about . . . Eliyahu HaNavi at the Seder?, it says the following...
"...the practice [of placing the cup] is probably related to our hope that Eliyahu will come on Pesach night—the night of redemption—to herald the arrival of Mashiach.
Similarly, the Mishnah Berurah (480:10) says that the cup is called Kos shel Eliyahu to allude to the fact “that we believe that just as God redeemed us from Egypt, He will again redeem us and send Eliyahu to announce it.”
Whatever each of us individually thought was going to happen on Leil Haseder with regard to "seeing" Eliyahu HaNavi in accordance with Moishela's message, we had to know that it was not going to be a physical thing. It is physically impossible for anyone to be in more than one place at the same time. Maybe we would have merited to see a vision of Eliyahu if we were on a sufficiently high spiritual level, but how many of us who use the internet on a regular basis can attain such a level?

If our expectations were not met, why immediately suspect the message instead of suspecting that our own expectations may have been unrealistic?

Taking all of the above into account, it now seems clear to me that what was meant is that davka this Pesach when we poured Eliyahu's cup, the condition of the world and our lives and the daily news would make it so clear that our redemption is at hand, that we would clearly 'see' Eliyahu standing there.

We pour the cup every year and every year Eliyahu comes to every seder table and drinks the cup that we've poured, but until this year, the reality of its realization has never been so clear.

It may not seem so, because we've become inured to events as they've been unfolding, but if you really look at where we've come from and where we are today, it's truly mind-boggling how advanced the process really is.
