Eli Yishai: “Yachad is staying together, haredim and national religious,” Yishai said. “We have an obligation to continue the great thing that we have created here, a covenant of those who observe the commandments for the Torah of Israel, the Land of Israel and the people of Israel. Thank God, that which unites us is greater than any argument. Together, in the name of God, we will succeed.”

  1. What's the deal with Chetboun and Aviner? Rb. Mazuz is for ascending Har HaBayith. Aviner is not, and wouldn't support Bayith Yehudith because his stance? So is he supporting Chetboun? Chetboun now holds by Aviner? How can this be?

I'm confused. What have I missed?

  2. Aviner just pitched his ten agarot into the mix. It's Rav Tau. He is Yoni Chetboun's rav and it was his demands that was causing all the troubles. Seems like Yoni needs a new rav...

Rav Tau Disassociates from the Party

Prominent dati leumi rav and rosh yeshiva HaGaon HaRav Tzvi Tau Shlita was quick to release a letter disassociating himself with Yachad in response to signing on with Otzma Yehudit as he said he would.

In his letter, which he writes is “a clarification”, Rabbi Tau points out to his followers that the current list of the party is not the result of consulting with him and his does not approve of the list. Hence he no longer supports the party. The rav adds that he made his position clear on Tuesday, 7 Shevat, yet party leaders decided to move ahead as they did.
