It's That Time of Year

High Holy Days? Yeah, that, too, but it's also become the time for the yearly onslaught of avodah zarah in Eretz Yisrael. Not that they don't find some reason to come at all other times of the year, too, but the "Fall Feasts" are especially dear to their hearts as this is the time they believe oto ha'ish is going to make a second appearance.

In the past, the International Christian Embassy (which is a made-up thing anyway) has brought upwards of 5000 avodah-zarah-worshippers to Holy Jerusalem. One day of the Sukkot holiday is dedicated to a parade which was initially an Israeli parade, but which was eventually taken over by them (as they tend to do with everything). Except for excursions here and there, they spent most of their time at the Binyanei Ha'uma Convention Center. However, this year, the new Jerusalem Arena (thanks to Hellenist-Mayor Nir Barkat) will be the center of their activities. And something else new has been added - something new and much more troubling.

This year, they are adding an avodah-zarah prayer gathering at the southern wall of the Temple Mount (where Glen Beck held his Jerusalem extravaganza) on the morning of HOSHANAH RABAH!

See Wednesday, October 15th on their schedule here.

And as if that were not bad enough, another high priest of avodah zarah is planning to lead a group on a tour to the "Upper Room" and take in Kever David while they're at it, as well as the Churva Synagogue and then wind up their visit at the Western Wall where they also will engage in their avodah zarah on YOM KIPPUR!

If you give them an inch, they will steal a mile! There is no room in our Holy Land for any Avodah Zarah!!

  1. Amen to that Dvash! The only silver lining here is, hopefully, this is the beginning of their sof with avodah zorahs in Eretz Yisrael. The 'medinah' has literally brought shanda to the holiness of the Land and those who have been part of it from within the seats of power in the medinah will be held no less, even moreso, accountable for all these chilulim, particularly, in the last two decades. The real Jews must do teshuvah so the judgments will be softened and sweetened for the real Jews, in spite of all the tumah within our midst. What else can be said, but we need to daven very hard and pray for geulah b'rachamim.

  2. I still feel that when Moshiach comes, these well meaning people will 'wake up' and suddenly realize they were wrong, they will feel remorse, and then they will transfer their devotion to the One and Only G-d, our HaShem. Those among them who cannot, will disappear.

The Third Temple will have sections designated for the Gentiles. Ad Cahn! They will not be able to advance any closer to the Beit HaMikdash. There are anti Semites in the world and then there are the misguided. The A-S are not always visible, many are covert.

I hope the 'cake' comes out delicious.

I'm making a honey cake with almond flour and a drop of coconut flour, as I am one of those gluten free people. Shana Tova, Devash.
