I PROTEST - "Gay Pride" in Jerusalem Day

14 Menachem Av 5772

At 5 pm
IST, the homosexuals and their supporters will stage a "pride" parade in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

My son and I, in the name of
Rav Yehudah, and a few Kachnikim on the side, were the only protesters at the first Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem. I have protested in person in other years, but I am unable to do so today. This blog post must register as my public protest because there has to be one. We can't sit idly by and let people think no one cares. Especially in Shamayim, they are watching.

(Devarim 29:28) "The hidden sins are for Hashem, our G-d, but the revealed sins are for us and our children...."

Rav Sholom Gold says on the mitzvah to give tochachah that it doesn't mean we have to go up to each individual and tell him he is sinning, but that when we make a public stand on the side of right and good, we are fulfilling this commandment. The actions from the side of evil must be matched, measure-for-measure, from the side of good in order to counterbalance it and keep the world from tilting to the side of evil. Someone once put it in these words: "The best way for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing."

How ironic that they co-opted the symbol of peace between G-d and mankind after sins such as this one destroyed the whole world.

In fact, it's not bad enough that they commit a sin that is described in the Torah as "abominable" to Hashem, but they multiply it by being proud of it and multiply it again by flaunting it in public and then multiply it yet again by forcing the public at large to subsidize their celebration of it.

I can't even explain to you how much more it multiplies again by celebrating this deviancy, worthy of the death penalty according to Torah law, not only in Eretz Yisrael, but in Holy Yerushalayim, Hashem have mercy on His children and His Holy City!

Don't get me wrong. I do not single out this sin above others. Adultery is also punishable by death, but until today, adulterers have not organized "pride" parades and marched in the streets with police protection, flaunting their indecency in the eyes of man and G-d and all the holy angels and demanded public approval and "rights" to celebrate their sin and try to sanctify it, G-d forbid.

People, mark my words. There will be hell to pay for this. There's no way around it. You don't punch the Great King in the face in His own throne room without very dire consequences. I pray Heaven will recognize my efforts to oppose this blatant assault on my L-rd's Honor and grant mercy to me and my children and my grandchildren when His wrath flares.

  1. B"H - Thank you Tomer Devorah, couldn't have said it better. The question is: Are words enough?

  2. Thanks, Ariel. In my humble opinion, it's a mistake to confront these people onsite and bring more attention to them and what they are doing. (They really crave attention and confrontation.) I advocate public demonstrations against it, but in front of the places of authority who have permitted it, i.e. city hall, the High Court, the Knesset, etc. All Torah-observant and Torah-loving members of society should be raging at the State's "authorities" to put a stop to this and it should be organized by the communal religious leaders.

  5. Thank you for sharing this post. I live near Jerusalem and had no idea this was going on today. I posted it on my wall as well, and am waiting for a severe backlash, unfortunately.
