Now that we are into the Three Weeks which culminate at Tisha b'Av, a time period known as Bein HaMetzarim - "between the straits" - it makes sense that the tension will build. We are moving into a tighter and tighter space.

US displeased with Levy Report (Read "mad as hell")
DC official says US 'does not accept legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity and we oppose any effort to legalize settlement outposts'
The American Administration vehemently disagrees with the findings of the Levy Report, which states that the Israeli government must promote the legitimization of all West Bank settlements and outposts.
..."Obviously, we've seen the reports that an Israeli Government appointed panel has recommended legalizing dozens of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, but we do not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity and we oppose any effort to legalize settlement outposts...We’re concerned about it, obviously."
Washington is likely to pressure Israel to refrain from implementing the report's recommendations – a situation that will categorically change the legal realities in the West Bank.
Report: Obama orders U.S. intelligence to increase surveillance of Israel
Western diplomatic sources said President Barack Obama has ordered intensified U.S. intelligence on Israel’s military and government.
They said Obama wanted to ensure that his administration could collect information that would indicate an Israeli plan to strike either Iran or Syria.
“The CIA is working very closely with the State Department and other agencies to monitor Israel on a daily basis,” a diplomatic source said.
“Obama has told his people that he does not want to be surprised.”
The sources said the U.S. surveillance included satellite images of Israeli military deployment as well as unusual movements near the northern border with Lebanon.
