French Jewish ‘Revenge’: Build Schools and Synagogues
French rabbis call for a “Jewish response” to the murders in Toulouse: Build more schools, synagogues and other Jewish institutions.

You won't find this concept in the Torah. It's more warped thinking from a galut Judaism. Leaving personal safety issues aside, the fact remains that it is ratzon Hashem for the exile to end and for every Jew to live in Eretz Yisrael. Therefore, those who would "strengthen" the exile are working contrary to ratzon Hashem. Think about it.

The proper "Jewish" response is to admit the error of willfully remaining behind, express regret and a willingness to change to HKB"H and help as many as possible to relocate home. That's TESHUVA! And that's the proper response!

There's only one thing worse than being martyred in Eretz Yisrael and that's being martyred on impure goyisch soil far from home.

  1. you just seem to forget that for many jews abroad, the way to do tshuva and come to Israel is to start first to go in a jewish school, or to a synagogue. and we don't have jewish schools at every corners, neither do we have so many shuls. and there are many jews that are so far from even thinking (even knowing)about tshuva.
so to my point of view, living in France, beeing baala tshuva: yes, this is a Torah response...

  2. Amen! Amen!
Personal issues aside, Sefer Chesed L'Avraham learns that the slavery in Mitzrayim was NOT rooted in the physical, but resided in the way the Israelites thought.

Teshuvah has always been and will always be the only TRUE answer to what ever happens to us individually and as a nation.

  3. You can say that again.
However just as those who left Egyptian slavery were not found to be worthy of Alyiah and had to die in the desert.
Many of the old generation who are enslaved to the galut are lacking in zechuiot to live in Israel. It seems that they must die there while their children who were not entirely tainted by the galut do make Alyiah.
    We are of that generation.
